Programs

  • Do you need a great guest speaker?
  • Does your religious organization seek affirmative programs and worship services about self-esteem and/or sexuality?
  • Do you want to learn how to discuss sex with your children or partner?
  • Do you need answers about sexuality?
  • Are you and your friends looking for a fun evening of laughs and learning?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, I can help. My informative, interactive presentations make learning fun while participants build knowledge, skills and confidence.

Audiences

K-12 Schools

Bring me in as a classroom guest speaker on sexual health topics or as an assembly presenter on interpersonal communication and social/sexual decision-making. The New Birds and Bees: How to Talk with Your Child about Sex is a popular program for Parent-Teacher and Home-School associations. Based on my workbook for parents, the program addresses parents’ concerns and provides practical tips that can be implemented immediately. Nurses and teachers rave about my professional development programs.

Colleges, universities and medical schools

Looking for an engaging, informative speaker on sexuality?  I work with small or large student groups; in addition, I deliver classroom guest lectures on a range of topics.  Medical schools can supplement their curriculum by bringing me in to lecture on sexuality topics.  My work with medical students has included Mt. Sinai Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School’s Human Sexuality Program, and the American Medical Student Association’s Sexual Health Scholars Program.

Religious Organizations

I am an experienced speaker, and trainer, having delivered lay services for Unitarian Universalist congregations across the country.  My sermons and programs reflect my lifelong Unitarian Universalist heritage and my commitment to the principle that all individuals have inherent worth and dignity. My services typically include 2-3 songs that I perform with the host congregation’s accompanist or pre-recorded piano music that I bring with me.   For additional information about my congregational work, please download my speaker sheet.

Professional Practices

I can help you initiate educational programs or breathe new life into existing offerings by complimenting your areas of expertise. Improve comfort and communication about sensitive issues related to sexuality or enhance your office environment to welcome a sexually diverse patient population.

Community & Support Groups

Mothers, cancer survivors, older adults, women, and teens are a sampling of groups I’ve addressed on sexual health and wellness. Together, we can create a program custom-tailed to your group’s interests, whether your goal is to support, educate, entertain…or all three!

For a spicy event, host a Fantasia Home Party so you and your friends can learn about/purchase adult romance products and toys.  Call or email me for details so we can start planning your event!

    People Are Saying…

“This was no cold, scientific explanation of the birds and bees from an academic; rather, it was a warm, funny, down-to-earth explanation of when, how and what I can say to my kids.”

“Melanie’s demeanor was professional, witty and very friendly, making everyone comfortable with a subject that can be quite awkward.”

“My friends and I had so much fun at the sex ed party. Thank you for making us all so comfortable and answering our questions. There were probably some very interesting conversations once my friends got home and told their husbands what they learned!”
