Bring me in as a classroom guest speaker on sexual health topics or as an assembly presenter on interpersonal communication and social/sexual decision-making. The New Birds and Bees: How to Talk with Your Child about Sex is a popular program for Parent-Teacher and Home-School associations. Based on my workbook for parents, the program addresses parents’ concerns and provides practical tips that can be implemented immediately. About Melanie Davis, MEd, CSE

I am an experienced lay speaker, having delivered worship services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Washington. I am also a religious educator specializing in sexuality, a small group ministry leader, and co-chair of a Health Ministry program. I sang for congregations along the East Coast from Salem, MA to Washington, DC during my six-year tenure with Olympia’s Daughters, which included a performance for 4,000 attendees of the UUA General Assembly in Rochester, NY.

My sermons and programs reflect my lifelong Unitarian Universalist heritage and my commitment to the principle that all individuals have inherent worth and dignity, and they have the need and right to make informed decisions about sexuality and relationships.
